Academics
Xavier Academy's high school is solidly based on our commitment to provide a personalized education that prepares each student for success in college and beyond. We value the education of the whole person, whose social and emotional well-being and growing understanding and knowledge of the world are equally important. Our experienced teachers, tutors, learning specialists, and, when needed, therapists guide students individually as they reach their full potential. Students have opportunities to interact with exemplary community members whose personal stories enrich the learning experience.
While our relational-collaborative learning model provides the foundation for developing students’ capacities and skills for social connections, our rigorous academic program challenges each student to think critically, solve problems creatively, and embrace interdisciplinary learning. Additionally, a wide range of advanced courses, including Honors, Advanced Placement, and dual credit classes, offer our students enriched paths to building their educational foundation as they prepare for their future academic and career goals. In addition to field trips and international travel, students have opportunities through internships and service-learning projects to apply their classroom learning to real-world conditions, developing leadership, collaboration, and social responsibility skills. We encourage our students to become lifelong learners, and leaders prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
